Connecting with and Supporting our Community
Here are some of our past and current projects

Volunteering our time and effort to create, design and co-maintain community garden spaces
- Balls Falls Conservation Area – after helping design and plant a garden area, we continue to support the maintenance of perennial and pollinator gardens
- Town of Lincoln – we maintain some gardens on municipal grounds
- Mt Osborne Cemetery, Beamsville – continued support to maintain the rhodos and azaleas garden by the cemetery entrance
- MF Rittenhouse Library – maintenance of side garden
- Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, maintaining the rhododendrons and azaleas garden area
- Rose Cottage, Beamsville, Hixon Street garden
- Millennium Forest, Vineland Research Station, 135 kinds of trees planted to commemorate Year 2000; annual clean-up of grounds
- MF Rittenhouse Library – maintenance of side garden
Former Beamsville District Secondary School
Donation of a greenhouse, annual student bursary


Niagara College Grants
Endowed bursary set up in 2009; plus $2000 annual grant for its horticultural program
Niagara Parks Grants
Annual grants to School of Horticulture (e.g. $2000 in 2025) and donations to the Legacy Garden, perennial bed expansion, purchase of special conifers, etc.


Here are more ways we support our community
- Annual donation of prizes for the “Floral Competition” at the Niagara Fair
- Planting of mature trees and bulbs in various locations
- Gardening books and magazine subscriptions for our local library
- Community awareness and outreach events
- Partnering with the Town of Lincoln to support the gardening recognition program
